About the ACPA/NASPA Competency Areas
In July of 2010, both ACPA and NASPA's board of directors endorsed a document that included ten competency areas for professionals in the field of student affairs. As a part of the College Student Personnel (CSP) Program at Bowling Green State University, students must rate their perceived development in each of the professional competency areas as either "acceptable," "proficient," or "exemplary." After reflecting upon my experiences in the CSP program, I have identified the level of development for each of the ten competency areas as follows:
Acceptable
Proficient
Exemplary
Please click through the different competency areas above or in the drop-down menu. Each page reveals a brief description of the competency area, various activities I have completed that have garnered development in that specific competency area, pictures from some of the activities displayed, and some artifacts that capture my development in specific competency areas at different levels.
